What is a political map of Rajasthan?
A political map shows how the state is divided for administration rather than its terrain: the 41 districts, the 7 divisions, the state capital, the division headquarters, the neighbouring states and the international border. A physical map, in contrast, shows mountains, plateaus, deserts and rivers.
Which states and country border Rajasthan?
Rajasthan borders five states — Punjab and Haryana to the north, Uttar Pradesh to the east, Madhya Pradesh to the south-east and Gujarat to the south-west — and the country of Pakistan to the west and north-west. The inter-state border is about 4,850 km long and the international border with Pakistan is 1,070 km.
What is the capital of Rajasthan?
Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan. It is also the headquarters of the Jaipur division. The other division headquarters are Jodhpur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Kota, Bikaner and Bharatpur.
How many districts and divisions are shown?
The map shows the present 41 districts and 7 divisions. The state had 50 districts and 10 divisions from August 2023 until December 2024, when nine districts and three divisions were cancelled.
